This is developmental gear from the Army’s next-generation cold weather clothing system, designed to improve mobility, breathability, and layering efficiency over ECWCS Gen III.
 
Constructed in genuine MultiCam® camouflage with Gore-Tex® fabric, this set functions as a Level 5-style soft shell outer layer; offering strong wind resistance and light weather protection while remaining breathable during active use.
 
The jacket features a full front zip, adjustable hood, multiple zippered chest and sleeve pockets, and hook-and-loop fields for patches. The trousers include integrated elastic suspenders, cargo pockets, and reinforced construction for durability in field conditions.
