This complete USGI M1 helmet setup with steel shell, ERDL cover, cat eye band, and liner represents a classic example of Cold War-era military issue gear, with components spanning from the Korean War through the early 1980s.

The steel pot shows honest service wear with its original textured OD finish. It’s paired with an ERDL camouflage cover and elastic cat eye band, giving it that classic late-service M1 look.

The liner is what sets this one apart. It features a partially worn unit insignia featuring a shield reading "PRESERVE", with a red cross, central fleur-de-lis, and blue striping. This was applied at the unit or individual level, and it gives the helmet a unique identity you don’t normally see

Condition is used throughout. The shell and cover show typical wear from service. The liner is intact and displayable, but some of the internal suspension straps are worn and torn.
