Extensive East German Strichtarn uniform and field-equipment set, sold together as one assembled grouping. The jacket and trousers are both marked m56, approximately XL, and are accompanied by an M56 helmet with camouflage cover, belt and shoulder harness, suspenders, magazine pouch, and MdI-marked field pack.
The set includes a 1973-dated, size 3 gas mask with hose, EO-16 filter, and carrying bag, along with an East German AKM Type I-pattern bayonet and scabbard, folding entrenching tool, canteen, mess tin, and bread bag. Shelter fabric, wooden tent-pole sections, and tent hardware accompany the field equipment.
The backpack’s assortment includes a handkerchief, socks, towel, yellow tank top, sewing kit, NARVA flashlight, weapon-cleaning kit, and dining accessories, including cutlery, a folding stove, packaged fuel, food container, and pocket knife. Strichtarn gloves are also included.
A substantial set for a Cold War collection or mannequin display. Condition varies by item, with visible use, storage wear, and staining, including inside the magazine pouch. Gas-mask equipment is included as a historical collectible; protective performance is unverified.
