Original U.S. Army M-1936 Musette Bag, manufactured in 1944 by Atlantic Products Corp., a known World War II U.S. military contractor. This bag was produced during the later years of WWII and issued as part of the M-1936 load-carrying equipment system used by U.S. infantry, officers, and airborne troops.
 
Constructed from heavy cotton canvas in khaki OD #3, this example features the correct WWII configuration with a full flap closure, dual metal lift-the-dot fasteners, and two external side pockets. The rear web straps and lower metal D-rings allow the bag to be worn as a shoulder bag or attached directly to M-1936 suspenders and pistol belts.
The flap is stenciled “U.S.”, and the interior bears a clear manufacturer and date stamp reading “Atlantic Products Corp. – 1944”, consistent with wartime production practices that used ink stamps rather than sewn labels.
 
Condition is good, showing honest field use with staining and wear typical of WWII canvas equipment. Stitching remains intact and hardware appears original. This is an authentic WWII-era musette bag, not a reproduction or postwar item.
