This is an original Finnish M62 reversible field jacket, a classic Cold War–era combat garment issued by the Finnish Defence Forces beginning in the early 1960s.
 
The M62 system was Finland’s first true mass-adopted camouflage uniform and was designed for year-round use in extreme northern environments. One side features the iconic M62 woodland camouflage, optimized for Finnish forests, while the reverse side is a light snow camouflage intended for winter and transitional seasons.
 
Unlike later printed snow patterns, the snow side relies on muted off-white and pale grey tones that naturally break up the silhouette in snowy terrain rather than appearing stark white. The result is a reversible jacket that remains effective in mixed snow, brush, and overcast winter conditions.
