This is an original Czechoslovak People’s Army (ČSLA) Winter Parka, Model Vz.85, manufactured in 1990 by KRAS Brno. Designed for harsh Central European winters during the final years of the Cold War, this parka combines rugged construction with excellent insulation.
The coat features a durable olive drab cotton-blend shell, a removable brown fleece liner, and a large gray synthetic pile collar for warmth and wind protection. It closes with a full-length zipper backed by a snap storm flap and includes multiple zippered external pockets for secure storage. Adjustable cuffs and a cinched waist improve fit and cold-weather performance.
Produced just before the 1993 dissolution of Czechoslovakia, this jacket represents the last generation of ČSLA-issued cold-weather gear and remains highly valued among collectors and surplus enthusiasts for both its history and durability.
