Original 1965 U.S. Air Force Type N-3B flying parka manufactured by Southern Athletic Co., Inc. Designed for aircrews operating in extremely cold conditions, the N-3B features a long insulated body, adjustable snorkel-style hood, genuine coyote fur trim and soft synthetic pile hood lining.
Additional features include a heavy-duty Crown front zipper, buttoned storm flap, knitted interior cuffs, lower flap pockets and a utility pocket on the left sleeve.
This parka is in used vintage condition with age-related wear, creasing, scattered marks and patina on the hardware. “REED” is handwritten across the faded contract label. The entire parka, including the fur trim, was professionally cleaned by a dry cleaner. A faint tobacco odor remains despite cleaning. Please review all photos for condition.
