Original Vietnam War–era M-65 field jacket manufactured by Alpha Industries, a major U.S. contractor for cold-weather military outerwear. This 1973 example retains its authentic U.S. Army branch tape, aviator wings, and infantry blue combat leader tabs on the epaulettes. The left sleeve bears the 8th Infantry Division patch, and the right shoulder displays the 2nd Infantry Division “Indianhead” insignia, suggesting this jacket may have belonged to a soldier with combat or stateside assignment history between divisions.
Constructed from OG-107 olive drab cotton/nylon sateen, the M-65 features a brass zipper with snap-closure storm flap, waist drawcord, and a hidden roll-up hood stored within the collar. Known for its durability and versatility, the M-65 became the iconic U.S. Army field jacket of the Vietnam era and beyond.
