Genuine U.S. military-issue M40 Field Protective Mask, size Medium, manufactured by MSA in 1996. This standard-issue gas mask was widely used by U.S. forces from the 1990s through the early 2000s, designed for protection against chemical, biological, and radiological threats.
The mask includes an installed 40mm NATO-threaded filter, a passive voice emitter (M2C1), and features the later-style ridged face seal. Also included are a sealed set of tinted outsert lenses, a sealed M6A2 chemical-biological protective hood, and the original OD green carry bag.
