This is an authentic U.S. military-issue CWU-45/P flight jacket, manufactured by Isratex, Inc. under contract DLA100-92-C-0476. Designed for U.S. Air Force and Navy aircrews, the CWU-45/P was the standard cold weather flight jacket during the late Cold War and Gulf War era.
Made of 100% aramid (Nomex), the jacket offers built-in fire resistance without the need for additional chemical treatment. It features a high collar, knit cuffs and waistband, and Velcro fields for name tapes and insignia.
This particular jacket is in good used condition, showing moderate wear consistent with field use. There are two small tears on the right sleeve (see photos), and handwritten numbers on the interior label. Zipper is fully functional (Scovill brand), and all major seams and hardware are intact.
