This is an original U.S. Air Force OG-507 utility shirt, fully patched and named to Stewart. Constructed from a durable poly/cotton blend in Olive Green shade OG-507, this shirt was standard USAF issue from the 1970s through the late 1980s, replacing the earlier all-cotton OG-107 fatigues.
This example features subdued blue-on-OD insignia and Cold War-era unit patches, including the now-disbanded Tactical Air Command (TAC) and the 963rd Airborne Warning and Control Squadron (AWACS). The subdued coloration was designed for field and duty wear, and the combination of TAC and AWACS patches reflects service during the late Cold War period.
The Tactical Air Command (TAC) oversaw U.S.-based fighter, bomber, and reconnaissance units until 1992, when it was replaced by Air Combat Command. The 963rd AWACS flew the E-3 Sentry radar aircraft, providing airborne command and control during the Cold War and beyond.
