Genuine U.S. Marine Corps FROG Flame Resistant Combat Ensemble trousers in Desert MARPAT camouflage. The FROG system was developed during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars to provide Marines with improved protection against flash fires and burn hazards associated with explosions, vehicle fires and improvised explosive devices.
 
These trousers are constructed from Defender M, a specialized blend of flame-resistant rayon, para-aramid and nylon. The material is designed to resist ignition and reduce the melting and dripping hazards associated with conventional synthetic fabrics. The FR blend gives these trousers their distinctive lighter, slightly pink-toned Desert MARPAT appearance. This coloration is normal and is not the result of fading.
 
The combat-oriented design includes slash hand pockets, rear flap pockets, large cargo pockets, lower-leg calf pockets, a reinforced seat, belt loops and an elasticized action waistband. The trousers are also factory treated with Permethrin Insect Guard to repel mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges. The treatment is rated to remain effective for up to 25 washings.
