Original U.S. Marine Corps M1941-style field pack set, including both the upper haversack/field pack and the lower cargo field pack. This two-piece Marine Corps pack system was designed so the lower cargo pack could attach beneath the upper pack, giving Marines additional carrying capacity for field gear, clothing, rations, shelter items, and personal equipment.
 
The upper pack shows classic OD green canvas construction with shoulder straps, flap closure, webbing straps, metal hardware, and side attachment points. It is in good used condition, showing honest wear from age and use, including fading, soiling, small stitched/patch repairs, a few small holes, and marker/name markings. No visible tag or stamp was found on the upper pack.
 
The lower cargo pack is in much cleaner condition and remains near perfect overall. It is clearly marked FIELD PACK CARGO with contract number DSA 100-67-C-1042 and stock number 8465-382-7967, indicating later U.S. military contract production of the M1941 cargo pack pattern. The lower pack has strong OD fabric, intact straps and hardware, and a crisp interior stamp.
